.Since 2021, we have been working closely with Altillion in Houston, TX (www.altillion.com). Altillion specializes in mineral extraction from brines with a focus on recovery, separation, and purification of lithium from oilfield, gas field, and salar brines. Through our collaboration, we have developed a patent-pending solvent extraction (SX) process that dramatically lowers both the CapEx and OpEx of traditional SX processes. We achieve this through enhanced phase transfer efficiencies and complete recovery of the organic extractant from the barren brine and strip solutions. This process allows us to concentrate and purify lithium from brines with very low lithium content.
